The mojito has a plethora of different recipes out there but today I am going to show you how to make it quickly so you can spend more time enjoying the sunshine or mingling with your guests!

The Fastest way to Make a Mojito

  • Extremely refreshing.

  • Richness from the demerara syrup.

  • Feels like sunshine + friends.

Sips

  • Once one person has a mojito in the group, everyone will want one.

  • Prep some fresh lime juice and rich demerara syrup ahead of time to ensure this is a quick cocktail build.

  • Chill your Collins glass ahead of time if possible.

Tips

  1. Begin with a chilled Collins glass

  2. Grab 10-12 mint leaves and give it a clap to “wake it up” which will release some of its oils

  3. With a bar spoon, tap the mint leaves at the bottom of your glass and move them around the glass to spread around the oils. *We aren’t muddling so be careful not to do use too much force in this step.

  4. Then in a shaking tin, pour in 2 oz. of your selected light rum.

  5. Add 0.5 oz. of rich demerara syrup.

  6. Next, pour in 0.75 oz. of fresh lime juice.

  7. Add Ice and shake for 6-8 seconds to chill and dilute.

  8. With your bar spoon lift up some of the mint leaves from the bottom.

  9. Top off with soda water

  10. (Optional) Garnish with Lime + Mint Sprig, cheers!
