Today I'll be showing you how to make my version of the white lady! This is an airy gin cocktail that goes down easily, but my recipe is far from the original. When Harry MacElhone created this drink in 1919 there was no gin at all! I'm curious what that will taste like, so I'll be making one of those too in the video down below my recipe.
How to Make The White LAdy Cocktail
Just wonderful.
Delicate flavors and spirit forward.
Botanical notes with brightness from the lemon.
Sips
Use a small egg when getting your egg white for this recipe.
When shaking this cocktail make sure to hold tight, it will want to expand as you shake!
Chill your glass in advance.
Tips
The White LAdy Cocktail Recipe
First, crack and separate the egg white from the yolk into a bowl. Set to the side.
In a shaking tin, pour in 1.5 oz. of your favorite Gin.
Next, add 3/4 oz. of triple sec.
Then, add 3/4 oz. of fresh lemon juice.
Add 1/4 oz. of simple syrup.
Take your separated egg white and add that in as well.
Dry shake (no ice) for 10 seconds to emulsify the egg white with the cocktail.
Then add ice and shake again for approx. 10 more seconds.
Double strain into a chilled glass.
Express lemon oil over top and across the rim of the glass.
Let the drink to rest for a short period prior to enjoying to allow the foam to settle on the top.
