Most likely a descendant from another classic tiki known as the skull and bones, the shrunken skull is a perfect introduction to tiki cocktails! This recipe calls for four ingredients, all equal parts, so it's quite simple.
How to Make The Shrunken Skull Cocktail
Bright pomegranate, the ultimate grenadine cocktail!
Makes you feel like you are on a beach, just as a good Tiki cocktail should.
Sips
Two rums are used, and without the addition of numerous other ingredients , it makes it easy to see how separate rums work together in a cocktail.
Here we are using a Demerara and a gold rum, but I fully encourage trying different rums and finding your favorite combination.
Tips
Start with a shaking tin.
Pour in 1 oz. of demerara rum.
Next, add 1 oz. of gold rum.
Then, 1 oz. of lime juice.
Lastly, pour in 1 oz. of grenadine.
Add crushed ice and shake for about 10 seconds until properly diluted.
Open pour into your tiki glass.
Garnish with Pineapple fronds and a cocktail umbrella.
Cheers!
