Most likely a descendant from another classic tiki known as the skull and bones, the shrunken skull is a perfect introduction to tiki cocktails! This recipe calls for four ingredients, all equal parts, so it's quite simple.

How to Make The Shrunken Skull Cocktail

  • Bright pomegranate, the ultimate grenadine cocktail!

  • Makes you feel like you are on a beach, just as a good Tiki cocktail should.

Sips

  • Two rums are used, and without the addition of numerous other ingredients , it makes it easy to see how separate rums work together in a cocktail.

  • Here we are using a Demerara and a gold rum, but I fully encourage trying different rums and finding your favorite combination.

Tips

  1. Start with a shaking tin.

  2. Pour in 1 oz. of demerara rum.

  3. Next, add 1 oz. of gold rum.

  4. Then, 1 oz. of lime juice.

  5. Lastly, pour in 1 oz. of grenadine.

  6. Add crushed ice and shake for about 10 seconds until properly diluted.

  7. Open pour into your tiki glass.

  8. Garnish with Pineapple fronds and a cocktail umbrella.

  9. Cheers!
