HOW TO MAKE A Classic Margarita
This is where it all started. Very simple recipe here: tequila, lime juice and orange liqueur.
Classic, tart & rich
Pair with a nice sit in the sun
Sips
For the orange liqueur, many people use triple sec but I suggest Curaçao because it is a little bit richer and stands up well against the tart lime.
I prefer using a reposado tequila but use your favorite
Salt half of the glass so you have the option to drink with or without as you enjoy the cocktail (plus it looks really cool)
Tips
Cut a lime in half and rub along one side of the glass. (From the rim to about a third of the way down the side)
Roll the lime side of the glass in coarse salt
Then in a shaking tin, pour in 2 oz. of reposado tequila, 1 oz. orange Curaçao & 1 oz. of fresh lime juice
Add ice and shake your tin to chill and slightly dilute.
Strain into glass with ice.
Garnish with lime wheel.
