Easy Grenadine Syrup Recipe
Usually people will purchase grenadine but today we are going to make our own true grenadine that is a bit less sweet than the store-bought options. If you aren’t in the mood to make it yourself I did the work for you along with our partners at Portland Syrups. Learn more about it on this page.
We are adding pomegranate molasses to give it an extra punch but you can substitute with lemon juice if you’d like.
Pomegranate molasses can also make some tasty salad dressings if you need another reason to buy a bottle.
Remember when it comes to rose water, a little goes a long way so add slowly & don’t add more than a 1/2 tsp.
The finished product won’t look as bright red as you are used to seeing in the store but that’s a good thing since we are using real pomegranate juice.
Tips
Place a small sauce pan over low to medium heat.
Pour in 2 cups of 100% Pomegranate Juice.
Add in 1 tbsp. of Pomegranate molasses.
Add 3 cups of plain white sugar.
Stir continuously while the sugar dissolves.
Once dissolved remove from heat and let cool.
Add in a little bit of rose water, 1/2 tsp. should do the trick then stir to combine.
Enjoy in your upcoming cocktails!
